For my first meal I chose to make myself breakfast. As seen above this meal consisted of an egg sandwich, bacon, pumpkin bread, orange slices and orange juice. For the most part I made this meal from what I already had known about cooking, besides the pumpkin bread, which was made a few days before. The recipe for the pumpkin bread and the steps taken to make the egg sandwich are below:
Egg Sandwich
- Turned stove on medium
- Cracked the egg into the pan
- let it cook for about 2 minutes before I flipped it (also broke the yolk because I do not like it runny)
- let that side cook for 2 minutes
- Added salt and pepper to the egg
- Put 2 pieces of toast in the toaster, took them out and put butter and mayo on one side
- Put the egg on
- I also added 2-3 pickles
Ingredients
1 1/2 C of sugar 1/4 t. salt
1 C of cooked pumpkin 1 t. baking soda
2 eggs, beaten 1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 C cooking oil 1/2 t. nutmeg
1/3 C water
1 3/4 C flour
Combine sugar, pumpkin, eggs, oil, and water; mix well. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg; beat into flour mixture. Pour batter into greased loaf pan; bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let it cool and enjoy!
